La Fundación Internacional de Seattle (SIF) co-organizó su segunda reunión de la Red Centroamericana con La Alianza de Derecho Ambiental Mundial (ELAW), en San José, Costa Rica, el 1-3 de diciembre de 2010. Los socios de ambos ELAW y SIF se reunieron para discutir cuestiones pertinentes a la mitigación de la pobreza en la región, y fueron acompañados por representantes de instituciones de financiación para discutir estrategias de financiamiento.Los temas principales de la conferencia incluyeron:
- Estado Actual de la Pobreza en Centroamerica
- Cuestiones Ambientales y la Gestión de Recursos Naturales
- Independencia Judicial y el Estado de Derecho
- Liderazgo Juvenil
- Liderazgo de la Mujer y el Movimiento Feminista en Centroamerica

SIF Central America Network
Learning Conference, Uniting Central American Efforts, December 1-3, 2010: San Jose, Costa Rica
Seattle International Foundation (SIF) co-hosted its second Central America Network meeting with the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (eLAW), in San José, Costa Rica, December 1-3, 2010. Partners from both eLAW and SIF joined together to discuss pertinent issues regarding poverty alleviation in the region, and were joined by representatives of funding institutions to discuss funding strategies.
Major conference themes included:
- Current state of poverty in Central America
- Environmental issues and the management of natural resources
- Judicial Independence and the Rule of Law
- Youth Leadership
- Women’s Leadership and the Feminist Movement in Central America
